BUDDLEIA (Common Name - BUTTERFLY BUSH) -
Butterfly bushes have long, arching stems covered with long, conical clusters of tiny,
exceptionally fragrant summer flowers. Butterflys find the blossoms irresistible, sometimes
completely covering the flower heads. These shrubs are superb as specimens or massed as
background in a shrub border. Butterfly bushes are vigorous, pest-free plants. Prune flower
heads after blossoms fade to prolong the flowering season.
